Reflejo quebrado de un potencial perdido

Mira en el espejo
mi bonita
mira tu cabello
tan grueso y brillante
tan vibrante y lleno de vida
como lo eres tú
vibrante y llena de vida

Mira en el espejo
mi querida y dulce niña
mira tus ojos
claros y brillantes
destellando diversión, brillando -
en ocasiones con lágrimas
tan ansiosa por verlo todo

Mira en el espejo
mi niña querida
mira tu boca
rosa y haciendo un mohín, torciéndose
tan fácilmente para sonreír
fuente de risa
de frescura y dulzura
y siempre con besos preparados

Mira más allá del espejo
mi amada hija
mira en tu corazón
tan lleno de amor
entusiasmo, expectación
apresurada por tus venas
comprensiva compasión
sentada gentilmente en tu alma

Ya es de noche y
no has llegado a casa -

¿Dónde estás?

ORIGINAL EN INGLÉS

A Cracked Reflection of Lost Potential

Look in the mirror
my pretty one
look at your hair
so thick and shiny
so bouncy and full of life
like you are
bouncy and full of life

Look in the mirror
my dear sweet child
look at your eyes
clear and bright
flashing with fun, shining -
sometimes with tears
so eager to see it all

Look in the mirror
my darling girl
look at your mouth
pink and pouting,curling
so easily into a smile
fountain of laughter
of sass and sweetness
and always with ready kisses

Look past the mirror
beloved daughter
look into your heart
so filled with love
enthusiasm, expectation
rushing through your veins
caring compasion
sitt
ing gently in your soul

You are so late
coming home tonight -

Where are you?
